I do personally use facebook as a networking tool. Although facebook can be used to meet people, I don't usually use it in that way. I think that getting to know someone cannot happen over a computer screen, but rather through contact with another. I don't know of even one friend of mine that does not have a facebook page.

    How can facebook be used as in an academic setting? Aside from networking, how is it used for social purposes? Also, it important to include the article in a hyperlink so that others can read it.
